Friends of University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics is a non-profit organization that funds programs and services to improve the lives of the patients and families we serve and support special health-related needs in Dane County.
Whether it's donating $1 million to the American Family Children's Hospital or providing wigs at no charge to patients undergoing treatment for cancer or other illnesses, our programs offer assistance and make a difference to those in need.
Friends of UW Hospital and Clinics has joined Community Change, a program that provides discounts for locally-owned businesses, including restaurants, salons, spas and shopping venues. When you select an online coupon, you can designate Friends as the charity to which you want to contribute. A portion of the coupon cost will go to our organization.
On Saturday, February 22, Friends of UW Hospital and Clinics hosted more than 1,100 guests at the "Raise the Roof" gala for American Family Children’s Hospital. The event not only raised the roof but also raised $554,000 to support the Sick Kids Can't Wait campaign. Before performing at the gala, American Idol winner Phillip Phillips stopped by American Family Children's Hospital to visit with patients and families and give a special performance in the lobby. Visit the event website to view photos and pay for auction items and donation pledges.
